Robert is a resident of the Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island area and has a wealth of knowledge in the residential and commercial markets both on the Island and off the Island. He and his wife Deborah, also a Realtor, love living here in this rather quaint oceanfront community that has all the charm of a quiet sea port, but with all the modern conveniences. The Barclay's make an experienced team that can assist you with all of your real estate needs. Whether you are here visiting for the annual Shrimp Festival, Shopping the Centre Street Shops, visiting historic Ft. Clinch, Sport Fishing offshore or in the back country, or just relaxing on the beach getting some sun, this area has it all and now is the time to buy before prices move back upward. In his past he was a 30 year veteran from the Hotel Industry, where he held many Financial Executive positions with various companies from as far away as Hawaii, and as close as the Marriott at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. He has worked in the Florida Keys, and the Bahamas and in each location bought and sold property. During his time on the road, he and is wife have personally bought and sold ten homes or condos of our own, so they consider themselves experts when it comes to preparing your home for sale or knowing what to look for from a buyers perspective, as God knows they have been through it enough ourselves. They have been successful in selling our properties because Deborah has a great eye for detail, and for staging and presenting a home in its best light. She is part of the package when I work for you, kind of a "buy one get one deal!" Speaking of Deborah, we have been married 13 years and live here in Fernandina Beach with our two Chihuahuas, Taco Belle and Izza Belle. My areas of concentration are on Amelia Island and cover Ocean front to the Historic district and off island to the Interstate. When not selling real estate, I enjoy fishing, riding mountain bikes, and growing wildflowers. In the evenings, I enjoy having a nice glass of wine, and cooking. Cooking is my other passion besides real estate, as it helps to de-stress me after a long day.

Amelia Island, Florida and the quaint and historic Victorian Seaside village of Fernandina Beach provide the perfect place to live, work and play. The island offers a wide range of real estate choices, from lavish beachfront condos and estate-sized homes to Victorian cottages and traditional neighborhoods.
Amelia Island has three main and very distinct areas along its thirteen mile length- (1)The City of Fernandina Beach to the north with its 54 block historic district has unmatched shopping, dining and entertainment. (2) The center of Amelia Island, anchored by The Ritz Carlton and The Golf Club of Amelia Island, presents a world class mix of resort and residential real estate. Yulee, Callahan and Hilliard present a small town atmosphere yet are near big city amenities. If country living is more to your liking, western Nassau County offers everything from friendly towns full of old-time Southern charm to multiple acre properties ideal for equestrian activities, or hunting and fishing along the St. Mary’s river to the north and the Nassau River to the south.
